Steward Bank and Youtap announced contactless payment, digital wallet and agency banking services in Zimbabwe.
The announcement formed part of Youtap's work with banks, telecommunications providers, payment organisations, retailers and technology partners to expand digital financial services across growth markets.
At the time, financial institutions and mobile operators were accelerating the shift from cash and branch-led services toward digital wallets, mobile money, merchant payments and cloud-delivered financial platforms. Youtap's role was to provide the software, payment-processing and integration capabilities required to connect customers, merchants and financial institutions.
The initiative reflected a broader Youtap strategy: enable organisations to launch digital financial products quickly while integrating them with existing payment, banking and merchant infrastructure.

Youtap develops enterprise software for digital banking, payments, digital wallets, merchant acceptance, loyalty and customer engagement. Its platforms are designed to integrate with existing enterprise systems and support configurable deployments for banks, financial institutions, telecommunications providers and retailers.
